Who is Elliott Productions?

Created in early 2009, Elliot Productions is the studio behind Family Secrets and the brainchild of Garth Elliott.

Who is Garth Elliott?

Garth Elliott is the nom de plume of Quintin Seegers. He started writing as a hobby in the late 1980's, mainly writing short stories. After editing two of his shot stories, he realised that both have elements for a drama series. For the next ten years he developed and rewrote the series until the early 2000's, when he completed the series, written for television. After two unsuccessful attempts to sell the series in both Australia and New Zealand, despite positive feedback from both production companies, he decided to concentrate on other aspects of his writing.

He has been an avid fan of EA Games' PC Game franchise The Sims since the early days of The Sims (fondly referred to as The Sims 1). In those days, machinema was still a very new medium and only available in a very select few gaming titles at the time. With the arrival of The Sims 2, it all changed. The Sims 2 included the facility for players to record their Sims' animations as short video clips. Players became very creative in the way in which they would hide the infamous "blumbob" (an indicator hovering above the selected Sim's head in the shape of a plump bob).  Like many others, Quintin was fascinated by the work produced by other machinema directors.

After months of planning, research, and studying the works of other machinema directors, he decided to redevelop the series for the machinema medium.

He has also written three novels and several short stories. Apart from producing Family Secrets, he is also working on the third in a series of four books in a science-fiction series. Visit his Writer's Thoughts blog to learn more about him.
